Calgary Couple Recreates “The Simpsons” Kitchen At Home- See The Photo

While many of us may tune in to watch the latest hijinks of Homer, Marge and the rest of the Simpsons family, it looks like one southeast Calgary couple have quite literally brought a taste of Springfield right into their own kitchen.

According to The Globe and Mail, 43-year-old Marcia Andreychuk and her husband, 34-year-old Joel Hamilton, have transformed their kitchen into the ultimate Simpsons fantasy. The couple have recreated the bold purple cupboards under the kitchen sink, as well as the blue countertops and funky green stove which have become a familiar sight on Matt Groenig’s animated series.

Not surprisingly, Hamilton has been a fan of The Simpsons since he was a young boy. The show has been on the air since 1989, while the cartoon-loving couple have been together for four years.

The Globe and Mail also reports that Andreychuk and Hamilton launched their Simpsons inspired home renovation at the beginning of this year. In fact, they are still working on their kitchen transformation.

In the meantime, the couple have already found the perfect kitschy corn-on-the-cob print curtains to complete their décor. If those kitchen drapes don’t bring Marge Simpson’s decorating tastes to mind, we’re not sure what does!
