Tyra Banks has just put her Beverly Hills, California home on the market and the stunning home, built in 1926, is exactly the kind of home we’d expect a former model to live in.
According to real estate firm Sotheby’s International Realty, the Spanish Colonial style home was renovated at a cost of $2 million by Banks herself. The home features handcrafted tiles designed by artisans of Mission Tiles and Travertine stone and maple wood planked floors throughout. Vintage French doors and hardware with clerestory windows brighten the living room overlooking the loggia and rolling green lawn. The 6,040 square-foot home also features 4 bedrooms, 5 full baths, a media room, library, gym, formal dining area and an outdoor kitchen.
The WSJ reported that Banks, 41, said she wasn’t expecting to sell. “I was not looking for another home until I discovered a property in the Malibu hills through a friend,” she said in an email. “The decision to move was a difficult one.”
